"I watch the western sky, the sun is sinking.." When I was finished with this, that snippet of one of Sting's songs popped into my mind. I believe it is appropriate. Ghost Story is a beautiful song.
So yes, I spent a lot of time on this. I believe I am most impressed with how her hair turned out. I am least content with her face... I can't get skin down for some reason, but I redid the skin over and over. Feh!
I used a few of 's tutorials as far as pointers are concerned... that and a lot of reference images from across the web.
Anyway, comments would be greatly appreciated- especially critiques on my style and helpful hints on how to make future images more realistic.
wow you have really improved you can see it in this piece... its got a large scale feel to it and I love how her hair and shirt looks... wonderful work here!!

OH WHIT!
It looks so good! you've really improved! haha I love her expression too, whatever she is looking at (with her gorgeous eyes XD), it must really interest her! she looks so disgusted/intruiged/astounished I can't really describe it! XD Also very nice work on the shack.. or the environment in general!
The only thing that I can think of as critique, is that her mouth is perhaps located a little too low in her face, which gives her a really tiny chin. But that's all~
Do you like her eyes? I had trouble doing them, because I followed a tutorial but my eyes were a much smaller resolution so I couldn't do that great of a job with it. But thank you!
The critique is well-taken. I need to work with more realistic faces. I'm trying to move away from that anime look.
yeah I noticed that... it's definitely well worth it I think
^_^ and you're more than welcome!
I will be looking forward to seeing your next piece

In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
